Hi which output are you using for digital audio? I tried to get my white MacBook working with Volumio but could not get the headphone socket digital output to work or be recognised, have you an6 advice please?

Thank you

Take the version from this thread: Volumio X86/ Debian Buster debugging party (BETA) - #205 by sucama, you need to go back to the first post.
And continue your questions from there.
We are very close to a complete new version, x86_386 and x86_amd64.
With the version you find in the mentioned thread you should have more hardware support and will allow me to help further.

This is also valid for people with other failing devices like wifi, eth, usb etc.

Hi thank you. My MacBook has a core 2 duo intel which is 64 bit. Does this help?

please, in the other thread. This one us meant for reporting compatible machines.

CPU: Intel Atom Z520
Chipset: (unknown)
Running from local HDD
Image version: volumio-2.878-2021-04-21-x86.img

Note:
Touch screen and integrated wifi/bluetooth not working

In case you are interested, try the Volumio 3 beta from a usb stick, touch screens should work with that.

Thanks. Unfortunately Atom Z520 supports 32-bit only so I would not be able to try the Volumio 3 beta.

P.S. actually I think it is unlikely to work for my machine as the touch screen is implemented using a P/S 2 interface, as far as I know there is no working Linux driver0

Hi, could you tell me please where can I find a step-by-step procedure? I have the same Acer D255 but the installation procedure stops after login + password.

Volumio works great as a headless unit on this baby (No UI out of the box, just tty and ssh).
Kernel detected i915 graphics and eturbotouch Touchscreen.
Steps to make it work, ssh to volumio:

Install Xorg intel driver (sudo apt install xserver-xorg-video-intel)
Create Xorg conf ( /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-my.conf)

Section "Device"
        Identifier "Card0"
        Driver "intel"
EndSection

Create udev rules for touchscreen (/etc/udev/rules.d/91-libinput-eturbotouch-local.rules)

ACTION==ā€œadd|changeā€, KERNEL==ā€œevent[0-9]*ā€, ENV{ID_VENDOR_ID}==ā€œ22b9ā€,
