I am from Torino (Italy).
I was a RaspyFi user, now a Volumio fan 
I had some issues with RaspyFi that seem solved with Volumio 1.1b !!
I am testing it, but, at the moment, I haven’t experienced any glitches and pops with HiFimeDIY Sabre USB (SA9023) streaming directly from the NAS, even at 24bit/96kHz !! I am SO happy !
NFS mounting of my Synology NAS took a second.
