I am using an x86 PC based system with Volumio 3.
Unfortunately, the touch display with a size of 8.8 inches cannot be fully used because the resolution is wrong. Everything is displayed, but there is a scroll bar on the right edge of the screen. Now the question would be, how can I adjust the resolution?

There is no support for adjusting the screen size on x86 and not very likely there will ever be any.

ok that wouldn’t be nice of course, does it apply to the Volumio 3 version in general or would it make sense to go back to version 2?
going back to v2 on an x86? This means going back to an 8 year old kernel and corresponding firmware, you’re welcome to do so 
Would not make any change to your issue though, why on earth do people still believe V2 had more functionality than V3 
hmm, ok then it’s probably better to stay with version 3 and hope that it might do something at some point. I can use everything, so it wouldn’t be the problem.
