Can't connect with Spotify from mobile to Volumio

Hi, i can’t connect with Spotify to Volumio, it worked for a long time, since 2 weeks I can’t play spotify with my mobile phone on volumio.

Please upgrade to the latest version of Spotify V4.2.2. Spotify made changes so the older plugins won’t work anymore

Is there a reason why it is now working as an Airplay Target instead of Spotify Connect Target?

airplay means all the audio from my phone is piped to the volumio, with significant delay. previously only spotify was piped to the Volumio, and other apps on the phone had their audio come through the phone speakers.

Volume for Spotify is not able to be independently set etc.

previously functionality was significantly better.
