They are two very different subnets, if your subnet mask isnt configured correctly then they will not see each other.
Is this a work environment or at home.

Im trying to set up a Raspberry pi with volumio so we can listen to music in the workplace
That part I guessed… lol
how ? have you added your own router or acess point etc etc
the only things i did is what i wrote, i took my raspberry’s sd, flashed the img file of the volumio as in the guide, set the wifi to my office wifi, inserted the sd to the raspberry, connceted to its net, set up using browser, marked the wifi i want to use volumio with and finished the setup. when i try to access volumio,local it says it cant find the page
also i just discovered that if i set it up with my hotspot from the phone it works, but the moment i reselect my office wifi as network it stops working
OK, just when you said you was blocked and created this one was a confusing statement.
So… either the two separate subnets that both of your devices are connecting too are not configured to see each other or the new devices are blocked on the network.
Go and have a chat with your network administrator.
