Cannot update any further than 2.224

I have Volumio on Raspberry Pi 1 via Wifi.
I used to power cycle every time I want to listen to music (every other day), because Volumio loses wifi connection.

Recent update seems to fix this problem, so I tried to update it via web UI, and was able to update to 2.224.
I had to run ldconfig command, and then, I tried to update again to the latest version 2.362 or 2.368. This time the button responded, and it went through the motion. I get a message “Update successful. Please reboot.” It never is updated, and Volumio still loses wifi connection very often.

What can I do, besides doing a clean install?

Also, I could not enable SSH via volumio.local/dev. When I click a button, nothing happens. No message. So I created a file with “touch ssh” in /boot. The file is there, but I still cannot ssh via Putty. (I know it is a different issue)

Please advise.

There were issues updating from earlier versions of Volumio. I suggest that your best option would be to reflash a fresh image, having backed up your user data with the backup plugin.

Thanks. I did a clean install.
Didn’t want to do it because I had to copy all the music files back onto SD card.

Fortunately, SSH also worked, so I copied all the music to a USB stick, connect it to Volumio, and copied onto SD card. That was fairly fast.

Hopefully next time I can use the differential upgrade.
