Cannot play 24bit music

I built a Raspberry Pi 4 with a Raspberry Pi Dac Pro running Volumio 4.096.

I am getting music via the Tidal connector but everything I play is 16 bit despite the tracks showing as 24 bit on my PC?

The Dac should do 32 bit so why can I not get 24 bit?

It really is time for this to be clarified in the “i” text by Tidal sound quality. The suggestion to do this was made months ago.
@Wheaten are you able to nudge whoever can do this?

I raised this with support and they didn’t know about this setting.

They should know. It’s a side effect from the Tidal change when they dropped MQA. With “Highest possible” Tidal just throws whatever suits them back.
So far setting it to “Hi-Res” by-passes it.
