OK, so I tried port 22 and I can’t still connect, but the error is different:

That’s basically all it does, every retry is the same.
Fair enough, maybe I got a little too used to the comedic chops of @nerd so I’m always hoping he will type a very educational and very funny post. But I hear you, so I did a search, and came upon a post by Mr. Nerd (Connect to Volumio from other computer) that basically confirms that what I’m doing is the correct way. The developers document you gave me the link to (and thanks because I love that stuff), doesn’t seem to have anything on FTP, at least if the search function works.
I’m surprised the FTP method doesn’t work because I never have had a problem connecting to the Volumio GUI from either Firefox in Windows, Safari in macOS and the app in both iOS and Android.
But well, I’ll keep looking into this at some point, I already know how to access both the Internal Storage and the USB stick to put music and update thumbnails with better ones when needed.
