Can I boot Volumio from EMMC on CM3?

I have a usbridge sig with a cm3.
Volumio is on a micro sd card.
I have just realised that CM3s can have EMMC.
Can I boot volumio from the emmc?
I assume it would boot up quicker?

Pretty sure that boot will be SD only. It is on a Pi 3/4/5.

I sort of seem to remember that being the case.
I tried searching.
But, I couldn’t remember if that was old pi knowledge, limitations with volumio , usbridge sig limitations or cm3 issues…
So, we think volumio limits to sd card?

I haven’t come across anyone here who succeeded in getting it working. Certainly not possible with a standard install.

it should work, on CM4 I can boot from EMMC without problems
