I may be reopening a topic already discussed but not having found an answer to my problem I allow myself to post.
Context, I’m creating a volumio cabinet based on RPI and a Raspberry screen.
I now want to install an ON OFF button to turn volumio on and off cleanly.
Also, is there a card or any other equipment to add to an RPI, the 3B in this case coupled with a DAC?
The idea is to turn on my tablet from the RPI and turn it off cleanly.

There are power boards. prices range between 20-40 euro. You might consider a rPi5 2GB (50 Euro). There is already hardware power button on it and you can add your own push switch to it.
On top you gain a lot of CPU power.
Not stupid, I’ll do that! Do you know how to configure this button so that it turns off Volumio properly ?

ok and by adding the switch the OS will be closed properly?! perfect then, go the switch and thank you very much 
Just pressing will turn the rPi5 off. When off pressing it it will boot the rPi5. Press and holding it will force a hard shutdown.
I did not know that Rpi5 had a shutdown hardware interface. Good to know thanks.
