I am successfully using an older windows 10 laptop as my Volumio server, but I have an odd problem I need help with. Im running the OS off an SD card no problem, but when I close the lid on the laptop, everything appears to go to sleep. As you know in Windows you can tell the laptop to stay awake when the lid is closed, is there a way of telling Volumio to stay awake? I see no power option in my bios.
I think this is controlled by your laptop not Volumio.
You probably need to install some specific linux driver to control this.
Search linux forums about this issue and your machine model reference, and then install/configure the required pieces under console (ctrl-alt-fn1, or other Fn) or SSH.
