Yes this contains Botic driver. Any image I post here will always have Botic. It also has Jessie as well. I think Jessie is EOL’d soon, so this might be one of the last images I make.
Thank you for your great, work! I’ll try your image tomorrow.
What is the install procedure for beaglebone black?
Can I use it with DAC, connected through USB or its only works through i2s?
Can I use Tidal with your build or this feature is disabled here?
Thank you for replies in advance!
Mullet, I did tried your image and it works in generally great. However I have annoying, kind of stuttering sounds - when I’m listening to hi-rez audio files from 24/48 and higher through the streaming of my Audirvana+ via UPNP to Volumio. Do you have any solution for that?
Hello to the enthusiasts of Volumio improvements for BBB who continue to use it!
With the latest local release Volumio2.779 by Mullet (and previous ones with Botic) I couldn’t get the “Mute” pin on pin27 (BBB connector P9) to work. When using the Botic setting
the specified pin does not change its state when playback is stopped.
Has anyone managed to get the Mute pin to work when using the i2s output?
The author of Pure for BBB noticed that the Mute state does not work correctly in Botic and advised me taking the optimized kernel with dtb from his Pure into the Volumio build, but I have neither the source code for Volumio 2.777 nor experience with such integration - maybe Linux experts can figure it out?
It is unlikely that you can still do a BBB build from the Volumio2 repository, which would be absolutely necessary in case you wish changes. Just mentioning it so you are not too disappointed when you get no response. Volumio never hosted the kernel sources for the miero driver, no idea where they are.
Ok, there were participants in this thread who made their own images of Volumio2, which means they had to make a local copy of the Volumio repository for this version. They may have kept these copies, and there is a public repository for Botic. PPY referred to its Pure kernel with integrated Botic, into which, as I understood him, it proposed adding the functionality of the Volumio player.
