Backup Volumio 4 os

Buongiorno. Non riesco a capire come fare il backup di tutte le impostazioni di volumio4 os nel caso di qualche malfunzionamento.

Ho installato direttamente nel hhdd di un portatile il sistema operativo volumio4. Ho attivato il plugin del backup ma non so se lo fa lui in automatico o devo fare qualcos’altro. Inoltre, nel caso riuscissi a creare un backup come utilizzarlo?

This is a community forum, where the used language is English.
Livonian, Wymysorys, Tsakonian, Manx, Cornish, Kalaallisut are awesome, but the majority here doesn’t speak them.
I am not looking to start translating every post to a readable format, neither will the community.

So please stick with English. this will help you get replies and support from the community.

Don’t take me too seriously. If someone asks for information in a different language, I’d rather use a translator than give a useless answer.

You’re missing the main quest of this forum!
Even though Volumio provides the platform, it’s powered by community adventurers like you.

Since most of us don’t speak Italian, or Livonian, Ainu, or Wymysorys for that matter, the forum runs on English as its default language. Think of it as the “common tongue” so everyone can join the party without needing a translator spell.

If you want to connect directly with Volumio HQ, Italian is perfectly fine. But if you stick to Italian here, only Italian-speaking guild members will respond. You can’t expect 10,000 visitors to fire up Google Translate like it’s a boss fight mechanic.

So, let’s keep it English, because while Tsakonian and Chamicuro are epic, they’re not widely unlocked achievements in this forum!

The language policy has nothing to do with colonialism, EU regulations, or where Volumio is headquartered. This is a community forum staffed by unpaid volunteers from around the world. English is the common language that maximizes the pool of people who can help. Nobody is obligated to translate anything. If someone chooses not to help because they cannot read the post, that is entirely reasonable.

Simple, but non-trivial rhetorical questions:

  1. Why should I spent my personal time on translating a language I do not speak?
  2. Where is my incentive to make such effort since problem is not mine to begin with?

This thread is about backup functionality. Further debate on language policy belongs elsewhere.
