Buongiorno. Non riesco a capire come fare il backup di tutte le impostazioni di volumio4 os nel caso di qualche malfunzionamento.
Ho installato direttamente nel hhdd di un portatile il sistema operativo volumio4. Ho attivato il plugin del backup ma non so se lo fa lui in automatico o devo fare qualcos’altro. Inoltre, nel caso riuscissi a creare un backup come utilizzarlo?

Really, French people ask for English on an Italian company’s forum? For the French, there’s only one answer: automatic translators exist.
We have the European Union in countries where French is spoken and you are happy with machine translation, why not here? The most widely spoken language in the European Union today would be German, tomorrow French, and everywhere else, even in Switzerland, should we prefer foreign languages to the country’s official ones?
In my opinion we need the right to receive customer service in the same language of the purchase and Volumio sell in Italian language its products (for example see Volumio Preciso - Volumio ).
Nobody ever told me I lived in an English colony.

This is a community forum, where the used language is English.
Livonian, Wymysorys, Tsakonian, Manx, Cornish, Kalaallisut are awesome, but the majority here doesn’t speak them.
I am not looking to start translating every post to a readable format, neither will the community.
So please stick with English. this will help you get replies and support from the community.

Don’t take me too seriously. If someone asks for information in a different language, I’d rather use a translator than give a useless answer.
I emphasized the fact that a French person was asking because it was a (colonialist) country that was rightly picky about language, and even the one that fought for Italians to be able to use their own language in the European Union—they were founding countries.
In Italy, if you buy fruit juice that doesn’t have an Italian label, the Government theoretically recall it unless the seller can apply one. Call centers face fines of up to €50,000 a day for not using Italian. Like it or not, Volumio is an Italian company, and that trumps your arguments—or at least it should, but it doesn’t always happen.
For example, by default, Volumio shouldn’t profile its users. What’s left of the rights of those living in the European Union? Nothing, and the law it is written in the language of those who generally do not understand any of the others.
Yet I try to write to them in English, and it’s no use; it’s the language of machines today, the only ones that exist, the obtuse ones. I didn’t choose to sell in Italian; so let’s be consistent.
You’re missing the main quest of this forum!
Even though Volumio provides the platform, it’s powered by community adventurers like you.
Since most of us don’t speak Italian, or Livonian, Ainu, or Wymysorys for that matter, the forum runs on English as its default language. Think of it as the “common tongue” so everyone can join the party without needing a translator spell.
If you want to connect directly with Volumio HQ, Italian is perfectly fine. But if you stick to Italian here, only Italian-speaking guild members will respond. You can’t expect 10,000 visitors to fire up Google Translate like it’s a boss fight mechanic.
So, let’s keep it English, because while Tsakonian and Chamicuro are epic, they’re not widely unlocked achievements in this forum!
If BrunoC had asked in English, many of us would have understood his message, and perhaps he would have an answer now; that’s true.

The language policy has nothing to do with colonialism, EU regulations, or where Volumio is headquartered. This is a community forum staffed by unpaid volunteers from around the world. English is the common language that maximizes the pool of people who can help. Nobody is obligated to translate anything. If someone chooses not to help because they cannot read the post, that is entirely reasonable.
Simple, but non-trivial rhetorical questions:
This thread is about backup functionality. Further debate on language policy belongs elsewhere.
