Hi,
Is there anyway to change the default image that’s used if Volumio doesn’t find the cover art.
I don’t like the one that’s used with all the little album covers displayed. Mainly because I detest most of the albums shown on it lol.
I’d like to able to use my own generic one if that’s possible, and apologies if this post isn’t in the right section.

I tried suggested but nothing happened, first few attempts said no permission to do that then I copied the command again this time adding the : before the / and it took it but then nothing happened?
I’m obviously doing something wrong and admit that I don’t know what to do even if it did show something lol.

what I wrote means :
The displayed default album art image is located here /volumio/app/plugins/miscellanea/albumart/default.png
If you want an other picture, you have to replace this file by yours.
From your computer, search in file explorer search for Volumio shared volume, called INTERNAL. Place your file here, with the same name, and same size in pixel, same format png.
Now from a ssh console (ssh volumio@IP password volumio) copy this file to the previous location
cp /data/INTERNAL/default.png /volumio/app/plugins/miscellanea/albumart/default.pngclear the cache of your browser. now you should see your image in Volumio.

I want to change the old volumio black and white album art instead of the new colored one, how can i doe that?
I already change the defaults picture’s but stil when start screen the new to much colored logo.
I mean on the connected display
please post pictures as what your writing is very confusing.
The icons themselves re BW, do you mean coverart, or …?

I have made a diy streamer with an separate display.
I have update one of the last version to the last version because i had problems with installing now playing on a fresh version. Touch Screen does work.
Because of the update in the app you see the colored logo and also on the display. I have change the default.png and jpg into the old volumio picture. But still i see on the display the new picuture and not the default picture.
This is what i want to use instead of the new one. I will make some pictures. When there is not playing i see this picture. And wat to change that with the picture above

I have install the last version Volumio 3.785
Installed with the plug-ins Touch Display 3.5.0 and Now Playing 0.7.5
Al works fine. I have change the default.png an jpg file into the old Volumio black white logo but on the display you still see the new logo of Volumio that i cannot change.
Is the a way to change that because on a pc its the old Volumio logo but on the hdmi screen its the new one see pictures.
Also in the app
open Filezilla , loged in, in the right colume paste this
/volumio/app/plugins/miscellanea/albumart/
in thís folder you have 2 pictures , one PNG one JPG
now replace the 2 pictures with your own picures note that the PNG and JPG must be 1000x1000 and save the original folder anyone on you PC , when you change with a another picures when it comes to update , you must than replace the original picutures or folder becouse update wont work

Still strange on the display still not the right albumart picture.
I have done this before with volumio version 3.423 and Touch Display 3.3.5 and Now Playing 0.3.7. And it works i had the same albumart picture on the app/display/pc there must be someting wrong.
Start all over again, with RPI3b install volumio 3.785, and change the albumart.png and jpg for the old one.
now install plugin Touch Display. change user config

Waveshare 9.7 inch work but not the old albumart on the screen but still the new one

if I switch off Now Playing the albumart.png and jpg is okay, when I switch it on the old albumart is replaced by the new one. see both pictures.
1 now playing switch off
2 now playing switch on
After several making a new img it works now, only the app keeps the new logo.
I think the SD card was corrupt.
the new startup logo Volumio is very nice, but it takes too long to startup. any way to change that? to set it to one volumio logo?
the message player preparing startup the position must be lower instead of messing up the Volumio logo.
