I’m using the last version of volumio and at first everything seemed to work fine.
However, when I look into the file stream0 i notice that the number of bits were always
16.
I tried to force the number of bits to 24 (which my dac suports) in the mpd file but i only was able to change the sampling frequency. It seems volumio ignores completly the number of bits at least with my dac.
Any ideas?

Try to change settings under Volumio Sources menu, Sound Quality to “Hi-Res”.
When I had “Highest Possible”,which is the intuitive choise here, I only got 44.1/16 to DAC, but when I changed it to Hi-Res a get highest bitrate. Go figure…

The problem is that volumio never choses the Alset 3. I dont know why. Ideias? Does anyone has the same issue?
