Airplay more than 44.1kHz possible ?

Hi,
When using Volumio to relay the bits to the USB port over Airplay the DAC is indicating a frequency of 44.1kHz. Is that limited to the Airplay protocol ? If so, is there a way to circumvent that limitation ?. Thank’s

Yes it is. There is no/I don´t know a way to circumvent this.

Why did you use an open source audiophile player to send music to some overpriced, bad sounding, limited Apple Bulls**t ?

There’s plenty of non limited DLNA receptors out there … ex :

and a cheaper one form SMSL in my memory …
