Recently I got a new WiFi router but I did not expect this to change anything with my Rivo because it has a wired connection. I also had to change the WiFi network name and password for various security reasons. But now in the Volumio (Android) app I cannot find the Rivo at all.
The Rivo has the same wired Ethernet connection and that has not changed, and has worked great in the past. Other devices connected to my router wired or wireless are all working fine, so it is puzzling. However, on my phone in the app I cannot connect to Rivo.
Before this happened, the WiFi on the Rivo was turned off, but I was still able to use the app and listen to music like that for years.
Since I cannot access the Rivo via the app, I have tried the factory reset via USB but it did not work.
I formatted a thumb drive to FAT32, put in the factory_reset file, turned off the Rivo, inserted the drive, turned it back on, waited for about an hour, checked again, and nothing changed.
It is still not able to detect the Rivo at all.
Am I missing something?
EDIT: I confirmed on my router that it is connected to my Rivo device and was able to use the Rivo IP to access the settings in my web browser. Now I can access it, but still not in the Volumio app.
Yes, for a while I was able to access the Rivo through my web browser using the IP address. As I mentioned, the Wifi on the Rivo was turned off. But now I cannot access my Rivo at all and it just shows a red light on the front. I restarted everything and it doesn’t work.
Yes I have swiped down hundreds of times, that wasn’t the issue.
I keep the Volumio app automatically updated (it is currently version 1.10.1, Android OS, Samsung phone).
For a few days, I was able to access the Rivo using the IP address in a web browser. Unfortunately, now currently the Rivo shows a red light on the front. When I press, it flashes green for a minute, then briefly blue then solid Red again.
Not really sure why my Rivo randomly stopped working!
