5" Touchscreen Display Support ILI9486L

Is there any chance someone here has been able to make the RPA05010R display work with Volumio on Raspberry Pi?

It uses driver ILI9486L.

I’ve used this display with this pi before, by using the LCD-show driver described in that link but following those instructions after installing Volumio (and enabling SSH) bricked the Pi.

I’ve installed the Touch Display plugin and restarted several times but the display still just shows random scrolling lines as if the driver hasn’t been installed.

Something in the config maybe? I don’t know where to start.

Connect to Volumio via SSH. Following the instructions there (changing the contents of /boot/userconfig.txt) sorted it out.
