3.779 appears to have broken Amp Switch for me

Just upgraded, Amp Switch is now flagged as inactive and doesn’t work. Can’t edit parameters, won’t uninstall.

I faced this when I (accidently) upgraded using a beta (new kernel???) version… had to re-install a fresh production version to fix. Was reported as a beta issue at that point… same symptoms: flagged as inactive, unable to uninstall.

Pretty sure 3.779 is a full production version?

we are aware of the Amp Switch plugin not working, most of the plugins have been updated to work with the new GPIO numbering introduced with kernel 6.6, but the author of Amp Switch is not active anymore in the community.

You can use GPIO Control instead of Amp Switch

Will do, thanks!

how to uninstall AmpSwitch? After clicking uninstall, everything seems to work as it should, but the plugin is still there.

I repaired the plugin myself.
I don’t know if I can share it on the forum or if it is against the rules.
Works with volumio version 3.779

you’re more than welcome to share your fix

ampswitch.zip (9.8 KB)

If it doesn’t work, then unfortunately I can’t help. Install at your own risk.

volumio plugin update

tried a couple times to uninstall, no joy, a fresh Volumio install was the only way I could say goodby.

Thanks very much… will give it a try!
