Hello people. I have been overjoyed at the Cubox image becoming available.
I’ve flashed the latest image of Volumio for cubox to the cubox by way of the microSD, put in a network cable, and powered up the cubox. The cubox is not recognised - volumio spins and spins and gives the error message ‘can’t find the server’
PC is Windows 7, and the browser is Firefox.
The network cable works - it was doing duty to the NAS before I connected it to the Cubox. To check, I have used another cable that was on the network that was connected to the internet radio.
I have tried volumio and volumio/local/DEV with the same error message.
Can someone please tell me how I can get the cubox to to find the server at volumio.local
Thank you for the quick reply. But volumio.local does not work.
192.168.etc. etc [my router address] gives me access to my router. It does not give me volumio. I logged in to my router, just in case. No, still no volumio.
Also, I have rebooted the main PC while the cubox was running. That also does not result in volumio finding the server.
The router says the devices on the network (Cables) do not include the cubox, even though it has a cable plugged in. This matches what Windows 7 Networking says about the HomeGroup: cubox not detected.
The image file is this one:
volumio-2.417-2018-07-09-cuboxi.img
