Which CD-Drive for using CD-Plugin

@DED, I’d like to know what you mean by “tested and working”. I assume that it means that it is able perform the basic function of reading and playing audio CDs.

How about other issues that have been brought up – delays caused by the drive spinning up and down, long pauses between tracks, and lack of gapless playback? Do your tested drives run without these issues? Personally I believe that these are software issues that can’t be fixed by switching to a different drive, but I’d love to be proven wrong and I will purchase the drive if it isn’t the case!

I have raised a case on the spinning up and down issue with support and I am awaiting an answer.

Any updates on this issue? Is it the same on Rivo+?

I haven’t heard anything back yet.

Hi guys can you take a look/respond at this. As some drives are really trying to lift off.
To reduce the spin i can use:
eject -x 4 /dev/cdrom
But I have to run it after every eject => CD loading.
