WebGUI gets stuck after pausing and restarting a song

Hi,

I’m new here so maybe this has already been answered, but I haven’t found any solutions so I’ll just ask:

While a song is playing a ‘Pause’ icon is displayed in the WebGUI. When I click ‘Pause’ the player stops and the icon changes to a ‘Play’ arrow. When I then click ‘Play’ playing resumes, but the icon does not change back to ‘Pause’. From this moment the Play / Pause button is inoperative and the time display stops updating until I click on a new song in the queue or in the browser. This happens with both Safari and Firefox, and on 2 different computers running Mac OS X 10.11. and 10.13.3 respectively.

On the other hand, using a separate UPnP control point (Linn Kazoo) everything works flawlessly.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a known bug?

Volumio 2.411 (fresh install) (2.389 had he same problem, too)

I can’t seem to find an issue reflecting what I experience. Issue #239 is similar, but deals only with volume controls an is uncommented / open since Jan. 2017. What happens with system is actually a whole bunch of odd behaviors:

  • freeze / irresponsiveness of the play/pause button, as described.
  • incorrect display of running play time of current track (always restarts at 0:00 when reloading the page although playing is in the middle of a track).
  • display of an empty queue although music is playing, or of an old queue (e.g. yesterdays) although I’m currently listening to a totally different queue.
    Some more observations:
  • This has been happening with fresh out of the box installs of both 2.389 and 2.411, after only running the install assistant.
  • I use an IQaudiO DAC PRO, driven with the DAC+ driver as there is o dedicated driver for the DAC PRO.
  • The RasPi is a standard, out of the box Model 3B connected via WiFi and no peripherals.
  • Volumio runs from a 64 GB MicroSD-Card.
  • The image file was written onto the card using Etcher on Mac OS X 11.6 (El Capitan).
  • The zip-file containing the volumio image was extracted using The Unarchiver, not OS X’s built-in zip extractor.
  • Music plays fine, just the WebUI keeps acting up…
  • Controlling with Linn Kazoo (desktop or iOS) continues to work even when the UI locks up.

Am I the only one to experience this? What can I do to find out what’s going on?
