Hi, I’ve built a streamer using a raspberry pi and a DAC hat. The streamer is inside of an old amplifier with its own power supply. I want to switch the streamer off with the amps main switch, so I cut the power supply to the pi without safely shutting the pi down before. This wouldn’t be an issue if the filesystem was read-only.
I need help with making volumio work for the streaming purposes with a read-only filesystem. Is it possible to use volumio to stream via spotify connect and bluetooth without writing to the local filesystem after the initial setup? Or does the software need to write to the filesystem when streaming (maybe because of DRM or something, any insights on how it works internally?
