Volumio not reading all server data

Hi all,

I’ve installed Volumio on a Pi 3 B+

I want to use it to stream from a server on a NAS on the network

Volumio detects the server OK

The server has the following lists that can be browsed.

  • Albums
  • Items
  • Artist
  • Date
  • Genre
  • [folder view]

Browsing these lists shows that not all are complete.

  • If I click on Albums and browse down, I can only see about 30% of the list. It stops about half way through the albums with titles starting with “E”. Volumio indicates in the main server list that there are >3600 albums detected, which is about accurate.

  • If I click on Items and browse down, I can only see about 5% of the list. It stops at a track titled “A Walk To The Office”.

  • If I click on Artists and browse down, I can again only see about 30% of the list. It stops at the first artist whose name starts with “F”. I should be able to see about 2900 artists in the list and am missing most of it.

  • Dates seems to be complete, but it’s not a massive list as it contains only years.

  • Genres is also apparently complete (there are about 280 in the list).

  • [folder view] does what the name suggests, and it seems I can browse all the folders this way.

So it seems that on long lists aren’t fully read and rendered by Volumio in the browsable lists.

Note that this issue does not occur when browsing the same server via Bubble UPnP or Hi-Fi Cast on an Android device on the same network.

Any advice gratefully received!!

Hello. Any advice on this? Seems problematic that Volumio does not load all available artist/track/album data from a server on the local network.
