Volumio Device not recognizing Wired Cable or creating a wireless network

Hi there,

I have used an Allo Digione Signature for some time. All of a sudden the device stopped working. I installed the 3.611 version but the RPI device was not recognized by the IOS Volumio app. I installed another RPI unit, thinking the RPI might be the problem. Still the same issue.

Does anyone have any idea I could try to finish the Volumio setup?

Thanks in advance, Mathias

Hi,
Did you unzip the Volumio image before flashing it on the SD? See step1 of the guide here.

Usually it’s steps 1 or 4 (finding the hotspot) that need attention.

Hi Simon, thanks for you reply. Yes, I used the RPI Imager to install the .img file on the SD card. I had been using Volumio successfully before it stopped working all of a sudden.

Regarding the hotspot, the IOS app does not find the Volumio network. By hotspot, what do you mean (not sure I’m familiar with what’s this term actually means)?

Cheers.

Just make sure to download the image from Volumio.com, not the one available in the tool. As this kind of errors seems, you installed the image given by Rasberry Pi Imager.

Sure. I used the .img file. That is the funny thing. I’m following the steps, but 2 RPI boards have failed to be recognized by the IOS app in the setup phase.
