Volumio crash after DB refresh

Hello,

my setup is Raspberry Pi 3B+ (the newest one), USB DAC (Fiio E10K) and external HDD with my music. Everything is powered with 3.1A power adapter.

My Music consists of around ~45000 songs (mostly MP3 and FLAC). I am using Volumio in offline mode, by that i mean that i am controlling volumio with my phone via volumio.local page - the Pi has no Internet access at all.

My problem is that when i plug the external HDD - my music starts to index - it takes around 20-25 minutes - and when its indexed - volumio crashes:
i can navigate the interface with the Volumio Android app (or via browser - volumio.local page) but i cant play anything.
If i start to play something when the music is indexing, playback starts - when the indexing finishes - the playback stops/crashes.

I am using this version of Volumio: volumio-2.382-2018-03-16-pi

Can you help me please? I have tested formating the external HDD in NTFS, exFAT and FAT32 filesystems - no effect…

When im using a USB flash drive - there is no problem.

Does your external HDD have it’s own power supply? You can also have a look at the system logs volumio.github.io/docs/User_Man … oting.html

Hi again. I am powering the external hard drive with the Pi only ( the power adapter of the Pi is 3.1A and “max_usb_current=1” ).
