Volumio clicks or pop noise while changing songs

Hello.
I tried Generic I2S and more, but they all failed.
The solution for me from the list : “BassMantis-uHAT with I2S Mic” , no popping, problem solved.
Im happy

thx

good to know, well done!

BassMantis-uHAT with I2S Mic makes use of a different generic I2S overlay, nice finding from you that with this one pop-noise is gone!

FWIW:

I switched from Volumio3 on a RPi 3b+ →

(1) HFB Digi2 Pro hat → coax - Oppo Sonica DAC (zero pops/clicks between tracks)

to

(2) USB-out to KORG DS-DAC-10R (frequent pops/clicks between tracks and on initiation of first track)

I haven’t had time to troubleshoot with several alternative connection paths, but will try to do so given others continue to experience the same/similar issue.
In the meantime, I just pretend the pops/clicks are the stylus settling onto an LP that will otherwise play noise-free throughout the track

Hello fellows. I have the same pop issue most of the times I switch media.
When I change between tracks only from USB there is no noise, but switching to a Web radio, Youtube Music or back to USB produces a strong click sound in the DAC, not good for the speaker set.
My setup is: Pi 3b, cable connected, Suptronics X400 based on ES9018 chipset.
I need Software mixer to control from the phone the volume.
Used to work fine with no pops/clicks until Volumio 2.917.
Either RPi-DAC or generic I2S was able to control my DAC properly.
This issue was detected on Volumio 3.449 and 3.569.
Does this have anything to do with I2S clock management or ALSA settings?
Any suggestion is very welcome, thanks in advance.
