Volumio 4.084 + Raspberry Pi 4 + official 7" DSI Touch Display (v1.1) shows only console

Hi all,
I can’t get the Volumio UI to show on the official Raspberry Pi 7" touchscreen (v1.1) connected via DSI to a Raspberry Pi 4. The display works, but it only shows the Linux console/TTY.

Setup:

  • Raspberry Pi 4 Model B
  • Display: official Raspberry Pi 7" DSI touchscreen (v1.1), connected to DSI0
  • Volumio: 4.084-2025-12-25-pi
  • The screen shows only the console/TTY (looks like “Raspbian terminal”).

I ran the Pi Screen Setup tool in the Plugin options multiple times and tried all available settings/options, but it made no difference (still only console on the screen).

what i can do ?

best regards Sebastian

Install the touch display plugin. Volumio is a headless release/system.

I’ve already installed it and run through the setup multiple times, but unfortunately without success after reboot i alway see the console.

Then please post a log.

Hallo Sebastian,

Hello Sebastian,
Were you able to resolve your issue? If not, have you tried other SD cards? How did you transfer the Volumio image to the SD card? Depending on which tool you use, this can also cause problems. Is the SD card firmly seated in the slot?
