Volumio 2 - Various Artists Albums not displaying correctly

Hm, I do not quite understand. I think you want to distinguish albums with the same title. This will work out if both albums have different album artists but not if both albums with the same title are compilations (with tag album artist set to i.e. “Various Artists”).

Right, compilations with the same title are going to be a problem unless one groups by directory.

If one groups by album + artist, album artist is needed for compilations.
If one groups by album only, albums with the same title and different artists get grouped together

I was about to chime in cos I was having real difficulty with this even after trying alsorts of tag combinations using MediaMonkey. Then it dawned upon me…

The Recycle Bin!

My music share is on a Synology NAS and connected to Volumio via NFS. The recycle bin is called “#recycle”. When retagging files in MediaMonkey older entries get dropped in the bin but still seem to get scanned in.

This needs to be fixed and could well apply to windows shares

While we are at it it would seem sensible to open up the ordering and scanning options under an options page. By way of any example heres what we have in Logitech Media Server
