Hey,
I‘m using a hifiberry amp2 and the Volstereo2mono plugin. I‘d like to invert the phase of one channel in order to bridge the amp. Is there a way to do so, e.g changing the volume of one channel to negative values in asound.templ?
Thanks for your help.
You want to invert the polarity one of the two speakers? Easy, just switch the wiring (speaker(+) to amp(-), speaker(-) to amp(+)), that reverses the polarity.
ATTENTION !!! Don’t do that. This could destroy the HiFiBerry AMP.
As far as i know you can’t bridge it. Neither like PaulM advises nor the way you want it to do because this is a digital (Class D) Amp.
Please ask at the HiFiBerry Forum, they will have better explanations.
Best Regards
Josef
Thanks for the suggestion, i will ask at hifiberry forum. I‘m pretty sure it works though, because all bridgeable amps work like that (Mono on each channel with one of them inversed).
