USB infrared and IR Xiaomi

Hello,
Looking for a solution for a Raspi3 with a Xiami TV box remote and a usb IR receiver.

I get this but …
rc rc0: lirc_dev: driver gpio_ir_recv registered at minor = 0, raw IR receiver, no transmitter

please post specifications of the USB IR receiver. It might not be supported by the kernel.

I might be wrong, but I think the Mi Box TV remote works over BT, not IR.

if it is only BT, you can check if the device is recognized.

No BT support, only IR.

Hello, I was looking for something more easy to install in a wood panel.

Then I would stick with the Volumio app. As it has more functionality than a RC.
If it needs to be integrated into a case, you can look at things like:

Excellent thank you. I will order the small IR receiver and find a way to install it properly.
By the way, my combo raspi3 + touch 7 inches is working perfectly with an AVIO DANTE usb device.
