i lost all my network shares after upgrade volumio from my old version to the new one … seems that /etc was replaced completely… assuming there is no chance to find old configs? thannks
I Expect you’ve been upgrading from V2.xxx to V3.xxx, if that’s the case there is a message that warns if you proceed, the SD card will be wiped clear.
If you upgraded from a stable V3.xxx to a next stable release, settings should have been kept. In vary rare occasions the SD card gets wiped.
In both cases the data is lost, sorry.
i havent received any message… so yes it was from 2 to 3

You might have overseen the content of the popup, or clicked it away. As the popup will show when doing a mayor release update.
So for next runs, take a clean SD for an upgrade, so if things won’t work out, you always have the original SD.
there was some backuplugin
backup and restore data… i am wondering where it dumped backup…
If I recall correct it was also stored on the SD card /data/INTERNAL/volumio_data.tgz. If you didn’t copy this file to another location (PC/NAS/USB/…), it is wiped.
But if only the network shares are gone, they are easily setup again in V3 (under sources).
