Updating volumio

I have had Volumio running on my Tinker Board for many months. It runs great. I had not used it in some time and fired it up today and it was working just fine. Then this evening while listening to music I checked for updates and Volumio indicated I could update to a new version. I started the update and it only got to 60% and then froze saying 60% and three minutes left. After about 10 minutes I tried again and it was working OK but when trying to update the version again it did the same thing. 60% and stuck. So I unplugged my Tinker Board and took it upstairs to be closer to my very high speed wireless modem. Started to update again and it stuck again. I turned if off and now tried to turn it back on and nothing is happening. When I try to open the GUI now I get “Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding.” Ugh. Do I need to create a new micro SD card and reprogram my entire Volumio system all over again  ?

Can you connect a screen to the Tinkerboard? Then you can see what is going on. Does it still connect to the Wifi?

But my guess is that the easiest way is to just re-flash Volumio to the SD-card (you can use the same card). It takes me around 30 minutes to do so, that is: formatting the card, flashing the new Volumio, booting and re-configuring my settings and plugins. It’s not worth trying to fix your current install, with a large chance that it is beyond repair and needs a reinstall anyway.

Thanks. I have no wi-fi or gui, so I am re-flashing now.
