Currently enjoying Volumio 2.502. Tried to update to 2.555 but it says
“System Software Integrity check failed, manually edited files were detected. System Software Update is not possible under those circumstances. Please execute a Factory Reset or Delete User Data, then retry.”
I have edited a few files so that I could, for example, get my USB external drive to run down after 10 minutes of no usage. Would rather not have to repeat the process and it hasn’t ever been a problem before when I have updated. Is there something different about 2.555 that means I must do a reset or delete my data?
Any way round it?

It has been introduced by design in order to prevent people making system changes (that affect Volumio) & consequently getting problems later on when they update the software. Sorting out what are genuine problems with Volumio, and what are user induced problems can be time consuming. You are welcome to tinker with the software as you see fit, but the onus is on you to ensure that it continues to work with Volumio.
