I have a problem to update 2 of my Volumios (see message below)
The first is a RPI Zero (My Volumio) ver 1.005 to 1.008.
I can’t recall that I have changed any system files (except replaced default.jpg and .png) or done any plugin instalation , as close to a virgin you can come !
The second is a Rpi3 ver 2.432 to 2.442.
That one is tempered with alot so it’s maybe excused
Everyone of my other updated without any complaint
This is a recently added feature, which is not yet released on standard volumio image (but on myvolumiio is there, since it’s more recent).
Basically we check the integrity of Volumio folde, and if we find ANY mismatch, Volumio won’t update.
This has been necessary since many users were having issues when updating, when files were manually edited, leaving them to wonder what happened (and usually blaming Volumio for its instability).
Yes, the albumart change has impacted this. Do a clear user data and you will be able to update again

My 3 Volumios that I upgraded to 2.442 (from probably 2.41X) without any complaint yesterday , now says “Update Failed” when I trying to upgrade to 2.444, I have restored the default albumarts and as far I know it’s the only files in the /volumio directory I have changed
MyVolumio from 1.008 to 1.011 worked fine when I restored the default albumarts
(did a “Delete user data” on this one yesterday + a upgrade to 1.008 and nothing else is done to this one except changing the default albumarts)
Is the key to do a “Delete user data” or a “Factory reset” to get on to the right track for future upgrades ?
