Touch Screen Plug in getting stuck / or lack of patience

Alright,

Version 2.389 on a pi3, wifi connected via macbook. I got as far in the process as getting it on an SD card, connecting it via wifi, and trying to download the touchscreen plug in.

It has gotten stuck at 70% , “building a database of manual pages.” Maybe 2 - 3 hours now. I’m not super tech friendly, so please feel free to dumb it down for me. I’ve searched and found where it has happened to other people, but didn’t see any answers or solutions from others.

Any ideas? Or am I just being impatient and should let this thing keep going?

Running below before install the touchscreen plug will able you to install the plugin successfully.

sudo apt-get install keyboard-configuration

but too bad it will still bring you to the blank screen with cursor only… I not yet figure out how to solve this… :open_mouth: :unamused:
