Thanks for the heads up, I’m in Denmark too. I tried your solution of adding the IP to /etc/hosts and it works. Will follow the issue in github to see if it gets solved. Thanks a lot!
In case it helps anyone else. @morphar 's temp solution until Spotify fixes the issue is the following (copied from his comment).
I just tried to force
ap-gew4.spotify.comdomain to point to the IP of ap-gew1.spotify.com, by setting this in /etc/hosts:104.199.65.124 ap-gew4.spotify.com
