Sounds stops after 45 minutes ..but track is still playing

I am running volumio 3.7 on a Raspberry pi 4 with 2 GB ram and a Allo Digi One HAT and a touch screen.

This hardware configuration has been stable for years. However now whilst a music track is playing, after about 45 minutes the sound stops . But the track is still playing.

I have done a clean re install of Volume, buffer is set to 12mb, only plugin installed is for the touch screen. All play options are turned off.

Am accessing a portable harddrive via usb with approx 50,000 songs

This is very frustrating. Help appreciated

Can you elaborate on what you’re doing.
If you play tracks from the USB device, you just take an album to play, load a play list, or…

Which version are you running as V3.7 does not exist, the latest stable is V3.785.
Please upgrade to the latest stable and try again.

I am running V3.785.on a clean install. When I select an album to play to starts playing the tracks…and I can hear the music, but after approx 40 mins the sounds stops, but on my screen I can still see the track playing.

Then to get the sound back, I have to reboot.

This has only been occuring since I upgraded to ,3.785.

I have reinstalled 3.785 twice now.

Can you share a log when this happens, need to see which errors are generated.

2nd, can you speed up this error when you click Next?
if so can you also post that log?

Why those questions, you ask?
I’ve reported a similar issue when using my NAS, 70.000 tracks.

Do you have infinity play on? If yes can you try the same with infinity play off?

With Infinity play off. I have no issues, so it would appear that the last update broke this feature.

This is a shame as I love Infinity Play

For the time being.
If you restrict your playlist below 15 tracks, Infinity play will work. At least on my systems.
