I have a schiit stack and really wanted my Rpi3/Hifiberry Digi+Pro match. I cut off the bottom legs of the Hifiberry Steel case with a Dremel so I can use the Rubber Feet like on the Schiit products. In order to get the original black powdercoat/paint off the Hifiberry Steel Case I just used spray on aircraft stripper that you can get from your local automotive store. Then I used the Hammered Silver and Grey Rustoleum paint to match and give it the right texture. In addition I wanted to use a linear power supply to power the entire thing. I used 20awg Silicon RC car wire for the DC Female to PCB Terminal and used Cardas Silver Solder. I don’t like feeling that the micro usb is going to break at any moment. So I just wanted to show off the mini project. Next thing I want to do is add a white LED on the front to indicate Power On/Off.
