I have searched these forums and the faq but i can’t find it.
How do i make volumio restore the volume level after a reboot?

It’s the default behaviour. But you can set a specific nitial volume in playback options with default startup volume ;-)
That doesn’t work either.
I have done that. The default value you set there is the value it start up with and thus again doesn’t remember any value deviating from it.
just do not set a default value - and it will remember

Ugh… really! That simple? Please please please update the user UI to tell the user this little nitty detail. (testing now)
That indeed turned out to be the solution.
Please make that clear in the UI.
