RIVO issues - DAC not recognised

I pressed ‘buy now’ on a brand new RIVO and at first it was working well, albeit with a few odd glitches (RIVO losing connection with my Topping E50 DAC for instance).

I’ve decided to use my Audiolab MDac,+ and this isn’t showing up as an output, so my listening room is silent.
I’ve had no issues like this with my Auralic Aries Mini, does anyone have any suggestions?

I’ve reset the RIVO back to factory default settings but there’s still no way to select the MDac+ as an output.

The Audiolab MDac+ works as a SPDIF DAC but not via USB at the moment - I’ll upgrade the firmware to the latest version (hopefully - Audiolab’s support appears to be hopeless) as I’m using the original firmware.
