Power Supply

Hi all

I have been running a Rpi with Allo digi-one into a NAD D3020 for sometime sounds good. Recently I’ve been adding new electric sockets with USB to my house to charge phones, tablets etc. I notice there is a two gang socket that can deliver 5V 3.1A. I was wondering whether this would deliver good (quiet) power to the Rpi to improve sound - rather than a wallwart. What are your thoughts?

It appears to have more than enough juice.

Dominic

I don’t think these wall socket USB outlets provide anything cleaner than a standard
Wall-mart one. Although they might be able to provide more current, I don’t expect your system to need.

If you want to improve, and I totally agree that in your setup the PSU for the Pi/Digione is the most likely candidate, look at a good PSU like the iFi or a lineair one.

Offcourse, give the outlet a try [emoji2] who knows what could happen [emoji12]

hi Patrick - that’s what I thought. Any recommendation on linear power supply?

More known ones are Sbooster and ones from Audiophonics (audiophonics.fr/en/hi-fi-po … c-617.html), but their are some other ones as wel and even some you can buy as a kit if you are willing to do some DIY.
