At least the installation of necessary software packages that should happen during the installation process of the plugin has gone wrong.

What is the plugin’s version and are you installing the plugin from the plugin store?

3.3.5 is working for me but i’m still on a older image .

this is my config.txt

initramfs volumio.initrd
gpu_mem=32
max_usb_current=1
dtparam=audio=on
audio_pwm_mode=2
dtparam=i2c_arm=on
disable_splash=1
hdmi_force_hotplug=1
force_eeprom_read=0
// dtoverlay=gpio_pin=2,acive_high=1,gpio_pull=down // only for shutdown button

framebuffer_width=1024
framebuffer_height=614

include userconfig.txt

I’m sorry, I don’t understand. Could you please rephrase that?

This is what I installed for the touchscreen from the plug-in list.

Now Playing, version 0.3.7. From Volumio’s plugins - the one that come in the system install.

I’m new to the site, and limited in the number of postings I can make - thus the delays. In addition, I’m now in the hospital for lumbar fusion surgery, so I won’t be home to test anything until maybe Thursday next week.

Thanks for your help. I would love to get this problem resolved, though now delayed.

I should first install the proper plugin “Touch Display” As mentioned in the topic.

Get well!

Where do I find touch display? I don’t see it in the available plugin options.

Ok. When I get home next week I’ll look for it and install it. Thank you.

You will - after installing the Touch Display plugin :wink:

Speedy recovery!

Hey guys, just joined up, so very excited to be here.
So I’m building my first media steamer using a pi 3b. With that is a innomaker dac and a waveshare 5 inch touch screen.
All seem to be wired correctly, Dac is playing after seeing it all up as per instructions.
The issue I have is the screen.
It powers up fine, runs through the boot sequence and finished at

MediaStreamer is the name given to the device in settings.

I can see the UI on my PC via localhost and can use it on my phone via the app.

How do I get the UI and album art etc on the waveshare screen?

Many thanks
Roy

@Royinontario
Go to the manufacturers wiki for your screen and see which settings need to be added in the userconfig.txt. Waveshare gives very good details for it.
Install the “Touch_display” and magic will happen.

Ok so did that, it basically just says to go to raspberry and get an os image and install… Mostly it’s about screen brightness… Nothing about not working with volumio it the box.
I logged into volumio and it’s an odd screen, it’s text

  • Please post a log, when booting has completed.
  • Please share the link of the wiki page for your screen.

Here’s the log and link… Thank you for helping me

@gvolt
can you have a look. Don’t see anything wrong in the logs. Expect a missing part in the userconfig.txt

Thanks @Royinontario , lets invoke the guru :wink:

Did you enable the Touch Display plugin?

Please post the results of

cat /boot/config.txt

and

cat /boot/userconfig.txt
