[Plugin] Recently Added Music Plugin

Actually, I take that back. I was just looking at the folder age (august 2024), though at the file level the date modified is April 2026. Perhaps I updated metadata since they were created.

That explains everything, thanks for letting me know!

I installed the plugin on one of my two Volumio units, it seems to be working well.
I like the way it appears with the other standard menu tiles, I like the time frame choices. and I like the way the music is displayed and the flexible way to browse through it.
Well done, I don’t know why Volumio couldn’t have added this functionality that many of have asked for over the years.

Thanks for your excellent feedback! Iā€˜m happy to see it closes that gap for you!

Iā€˜ll be looking into getting it released as stable soon. For that any further feedback will be appreciated, even if it’s just ā€žit worksā€œ!

Thanks @Zhapox for the plugin!
It’s one of those really useful features for anyone who frequently adds music to their digital collection. I would have expected to find it built into Volumio by default, as it is in other systems (e.g., Navidrome), but the plugin works just fine, thanks!

Cheers @Zhapox , great plug-in.
As above why its not part of the default way Volumio works I dont know. I suppose you dont miss it if you’ve never had it. With me its always been a case of ā€œnow what was that album I added and said I’d listen tooā€¦ā€ now its ahhhhh that’s the one.

Thanks again

I’ve been making a point of using it to find and play music on the system I added it to, it’s been great.
Good news that it’s now a proper release, I’ll update it and add it to the other Volumio installation.
Thanks for your work.

I uninstalled 0.4.4 but cannot install the newest one from the plugin store. This is the log that produces. How can I fix this?

Hi,
Which version of Volumio are you using? The plugin is currently only released for Volumio 4.

I am running v4.119.

EDIT: I solved my problem. I thought I had deleted the recently_added folder from /data/plugins but it was still there. I deleted that and installed 0.5.3 without issue from the Volumio plugins list.
