Thanks again. I got the 2,42 inch display as suggested above. What display type should i use? adafruit i2c 128 x 64?
Hi
I have deployed and configured Volumio 3.832 on my Raspberry Pi4. The player works fine and it plays all FLAC, WAV and DSD files without any issues. I then installed OLED display, deployed MPD OLED plugin and configured it. The display is working fine, but when I play the music, I get the following error “Failed to open “alsa” (alsa); Failed to open ALSA device “volumio”:Device or resource busy” and no music plays. When disabling the plugin, restarting the RPI, I can play the music.
Anyone faced this issue and any help is much appreciated.
Please disable multiroom, restart and test again.
If it works enable multiroom again and test
Hello, I need your help.
My display seems to be working, but I’m not getting any bar graph readings.
My system:
Rpi4, Volumio 4.073, Display SH1106 I2S
128x64
Thanks, it works now after a restart.

Hello, it would be great if there were a list of all the tested displays, or does one already exist?
1 Adafruit SPI 128x64
3 Adafruit I2C 128x64
4 Seeed I2C 128x64
6 SH1106 I2C 128x64
7 SH1106 SPI 128x64
@Rue The mpd_oled plugin is just a dumb wrapper for the mpd_oled project that the amazing Antiprism created a few years ago. GitHub - antiprism/mpd_oled: MPD, Volumio, RuneAudio and Moode OLED status and spectrum display for Raspberry Pi (and similar)
It supports I2C and SPI 128x64 OLED displays with an SSD1306, SSD1309, SH1106 or SSH1106 controller. It also works on the bigger 2.52 inch OLED displays too.
@supercrab
don’t make it bigger then it is, it’s only 2.42 inch ![]()
@Wheaten oh yeah! I’m always lying about my length ![]()

Hello to everyone!
I have the same problems with shifting upwords like someone here. I tryed to install mpd_oled_dev some times but was errror during building libu8g2arm. Is there a solution to this problem without installing mpd_oled_dev?
System as following:
Orange Pi Zero
Debiab Buster 10.4
SPD0301 (analog of SSD1309) I2C oled display
mpd_oled latest vertion
Regards
Sergey
Why installing the dev version and not the plugin from the plugin store?
Sorry, maybe I didn’t explain it correctly. I have this problem with the mpd_oled. I tried to install mpd_oled_dev to solve this problem.
What was the error?
