pi3b VS pi0wh

hello

its been awhile since i have been here. volumio was running great the last 3 years with “pi3b” and “m-audio fast track pro usb dac” .

however. i plan on making a upgrade to my sound renderer system since i use the usb dac for other things now (space echo emulation in ableton)

really having an eye on a “raspberry pi zero wh” with “allo miniboss” . so tiny :astonished:

my questions:
will the importing of my media library take significantly longer on the “pi zero” compared to the “pi 3” ? (on the pi 3 it took around 18 hours for 2TB flacs and mp3s)…

how will the webinterface’s performance compare to my old setup ? i can live with some input lag, music just has to play without any hiccups!

There are big performance differences between the two, but in my experience this exhibits itself in the UI being much more sluggish on the RPi0, rather than not playing music properly. I guess your indexing will take correspondingly longer too. So, if form factor is a driving force, then give it a whirl
