Hi, I connected my PI with Volumio 1.5 to a synology NAS, everything works fine, however the library keep updating for hours and never end.
Every time after reboot/ power off my PI, the library become empty and need to update the library again. Because the library keep updating and not able to finish. I need to do the update again and again every time.
Can anyone tell me what’s the problem is and how to fix it??
My library just less then 10G, most of them are Flac and some MP3 and WAV.
Compare with the other Rxx project, it just took few minutes to compete the library update. However Volumio have better support to my DAC, therefore I want to stick to Volumio
Library tab, every time after restart/ reboot, the library become empty and need to update again…
I have encountered the same problem.
Volumio 1.2 works very well, under my situation (1.3 and 1.4 are not tested).
I wonder that the maximum number of the music files is limited to 64K, from the results I tested for 1.5.
If so this is a bug, and I am expecting a soon-coming fix.
Thx.
I suppose that I’ve just solved my problem.
A corrupt mp3 file caused the error for the mpd database creation.
I repaired that file, then the updating is now running smoothly (not completed yet because of my huge library
Unfortunately, UPnP does not work properly in my system.
The network at my home includes several UPnP servers, and the NAS which I would like to refer through the Volumio Pi is only one of them, although the NAS features the UPnP service.
Will,
If your Pi always fails updating at the same file or folder, please check it with another client than your Volumio Pi, e.g. WMP.
Good luck!
