Hi
I just received my Pi 3B+ and set it up with a digione kit (using the Micro SD from my previous setup).
However the onboard WiFi doesn’t work. (A dongle does, however).
Before I start ripping things apart, are there any known issues?
Thanks

I tried Volumio on a second Pi 3B+ and had the same inability to see my network, however being in a different location it could see neighbouring networks.
I tried Rasbian and it worked fine.
So presumably it’s outdated drivers, and if I wait I shall eventually be able to dispense with the dongle.
Thanks for that.
My AP was on channel 13, so I moved it to 1 and it now works.
However, the performance of the onboard WiFi is dire. (Presumably down to the shielding on the DigiOne.) It was giving 11Mb/s from 20’ away (line of sight). The dongle gives 54Mb/s.
I have gone back to the dongle.
The interesting point is that a WiFi dongle behaves differently to the onboard device.
It is as if the driver for the onboard WiFi in Volumio doesn’t support channel 13, but the one in Raspbian does. (Or it looks at a different set of presets)
Channel 13 is disallowed in the USA, so it’s likely to be a region setting issue.

Presumably the source of the issue, however it doesn’t stop the dongle working, so either different defaults are used internally and externally, or the driver imposes the limits.
