I have a PI5 with cooler and nvme for booting. Is it possible to install an official raspberry pi touch 7" screen to this set up? Can it physically be done? has anyone done it? many thanks
Yes, as long as the flat cable port is accessible.

I have a Pi5 + cooler with a Pimoroni NVMe Base fitted underneath. All that fits on the back of my Raspberry Pi Display 2.
ok, thanks everyone. might need to get a longer ribbon cable. I’ll see!
Hey everyone, I’m about to upgrade my Volumio setup with Rpi 5 (8GB) and would like to integrate NVMe disk for faster I/O and smoother experience.
I only need Volumio OS to be on disk, so I want to keep it simple and budget-friendly. And it’s a jungle out there.
That being said, does Official Raspberry Pi SSD 256GB behaves well, as it’s pretty affordable? I couldn’t find it on compatibility list.
I was thinking of using the disk standalone (without the kit) if I opt for Argon ONE V5 M.2 Case for Raspberry Pi 5 since this case already has M.2 NVMe support.
Or if I opt in for even more budget friendly case, like GeeekPi Metal Case with N04 with standalone official disk.
So, would this work and if not, can you recommend me disk alternatives in similar price range?
Thanks in advance.
I know someone using the official Raspberry Pi SSD with Volumio, so no problem there. I don’t know about the cases, but they have support for NVMe, so should work fine.
