Now Playing Screen (Pi3b + HifiBerry DAC+)

Hi all,

Before posting this, I have made a thorough research…even went on ChatGPT…but I cannot understand what to do.

I have a Pi3b with a HifIBerry DAC+ and I want to add a small screen to just show what is being played. No touch, no interaction. Just the Now Playing

The GPIO ports are taken by the DAC (I guess)

What is the best way for me to implement the above? If so, can you also suggest me hardware (the screen)?

Go for a DSI or HDMI screen. The majority of screens connected to the GPIO pins won’t work out of the box.

But since this is HDMI wont it just display the black screen with the login?

this screen is DSI and you need to install the “Touch Display” plugin

I prefer the 2nd one, a bit bigger and cheaper.
No configuration needed (only the plugin installation), just plug and play
